Tropézienne originated in the town of Saint-Tropez on the French Riviera. And we are bringing this delicious recipe here in Donegal! 

 

This pastry is often described as a cross between a cake and a cream-filled pastry, and it is famous for its sweet, creamy, and slightly crunchy texture. The base of a Tropézienne is a round, sweet brioche bun filled with a generous creamy custard lightened with whipped cream and light orange blossom flavour. The top is typically sprinkled with pearl sugar.

 

A good choice to go with a tea after a nice family lunch or dinner!
